Lions Public School, Sector 10A, Gurugram celebrated 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and gusto on the bright morning of August 15, 2024. The distinguished guests were welcomed on the beats of the school band. The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony by the honourable Chief Guest Dr. Rajneesh, IAS, Additional Secretary MSME (Govt. of India), along with the Presiding officer, school Chairman Lion Dr. K.S Dhaka.
The program began with the March Past, followed by demonstration of self defence techniques and a well-coordinated skating and rhythmic yoga performance by the students.
The school choir welcomed the august audience with a patriotic song “Bharat Janani Jaan se pyari hain”. Thereafter, Principal Ms. Dipinder Kaur welcomed the distinguished guests and wished everyone on this day. The participants from I and II gave scintillating dance performance on “Jai Hind ki Sena” and filled the air with patriotism.

The much awaited, school newsletter was released by Lion Parmod Sharma, President Lions Club, Gurgaon City in the presence of Presiding officer Chairman of the school Lion Dr. K.S Dhaka, Chief guest of the day Dr. Rajneesh, IAS, Additional Secretary MSME (Govt. of India), Lion Sandeep Kumar, Vice District Governer, Vice Chairmen Bhim Vasudev and Lion Sudhir Taneja, Secretary Lion Sunil Singla, all respected former Chairmen and other Lion dignitaries, Manager Mr. Rajiv Kumar and Principal Ms. Dipinder Kaur and PTA members. Soon after, Sakshi (Class XII B), Olivia (Class XII B), Pragya Sahoo (Class XII B) and Bhumika (XIID) were felicitated by the Chief Guest for their excellent performance, artistic abilities and passion for the arts and craft. Chief Guest Dr. Rajneesh, IAS, Additional Secretary MSME (Govt. of India) urged the students to believe in their innerself, and success will come naturally to them. A group of our talented students, through their expressive gestures and body language presented a powerful mime performance. The program concluded with a Finale dance – “Veerangana ki kahani nritya ki zubani”, which captivated the audience with its synchronization and expression.
